Kiran plays down Kadapa by-polls
Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that too much should not be read into the bye-elections to Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies. He earlier met AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and party president's political secretary Ahmed Patel separately.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi before returning to the city, Mr. Reddy said the Congress would use to the hilt the image of late Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy to garner votes. Meanwhile, the AICC officially announced the names of D.L.Ravindra Reddy for the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy for Pulivendula Assembly constituencies.
The Chief Minister during his visit met Union Ministers and urged Mr. Gulam nabi Azad to take up Rajiv Arogyasri health scheme as national scheme.
