YSR Congress lodges complaint with EC
YSR Congress Party representatives complained to the Election Commission that the Congress party and its government were resorting to violation of fundamental rights and electoral laws in Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies by imposing bind-over cases.
P. N. V. Prasad of the YSR Congress, in a representation to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal in the city on Wednesday, said that about 3,000 persons had been booked under various provisions of the Cr.P.C and IPC in bind-over cases without stating any reason simply because they were YSR Congress supporters. In another representation, it complained that a police party of Badwel, thrashed two villagers in Mannemvaripally village.
