Going by their track record, the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies will be treated as a special case by the Election Commission. Around, 40 companies of Central forces deployed in addition to the State police for the smooth conduct of the by-elections.

After a meeting with the Director-General of Police, K. Aravind Rao, on Friday, Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal said heavy force deployment had become inevitable as 1,266 polling stations in the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency, have been identified as hyper sensitive, sensitive or troublesome.
