After days of confusion, Budvel MLA Kamalamma broke her silence on Friday and said that she will campaign for Dr. D L Ravindra Reddy in the by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat. Speaking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office after meeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office, Kamalamma said that she had been friendly with Jagan due to her close relationship with former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

She also pointed out that she had never formally joined the YSR Congress Party, and vowed to serve the Congress as a loyal and obedient worker. However, she also added that Jagan had never shown any bias towards her, and that he has always treated all his supporters equally.
