Endowments Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao met Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday, making a strong plea to scrap the GO No 177 which was resented by the government employees, particularly those from Telangana region. He requested the Chief Minister to at least keep the GO in abeyance if scrapping was not possible.

Answering questions, he said he was still out of Cabinet, as he had tendered his resignation, although the Chief Minister had asked him to continue. He said UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi might take a positive decision on creation of Telagnana State after May 15, when the results of elections held in several states would be announced.
