Families of persons who have committed suicide for Telangana have given a call to youth, students and others not to end lives for Telangana in despair, but asked them to participate in the movement with renewed vigour. It is going to be the fittest homage to those who sacrificed themselves for Telangana, they said.

Speaking at a meeting organised under the aegis of Telangana Amara Veerulu Kutumbala Rashtra Aikya Vedika' on Tuesday to felicitate the 12 legislators who triumphed in the recent by-polls, family members of 12 persons who ended lives for Telangana, including K. Srikanth Achary and K. Venugopal Reddy, appealed that no other family should undergo the pain they were going through.

They urged people not to sacrifice lives but instead fight for Telangana till the goal was realised. The JAC committees would make the youth and students take a pledge on Wednesday in schools and villages centres against resorting to suicides, Prof. Kodandaram said.
