There was sharp reaction to the remarks by TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao that Brahmins of Telangana were orthodox and pious unlike their counterparts in Andhra, who were ostentatious, during his Chandiyagam in Hyderabad. Samaikyandhra activists conducted 'pindapradanam', ritual for KCR at Ramakrishna Beach on Sunday morning to protest his alleged attempts to divide the community.
Brahmin Forum secretary Yamijala Ramji issued a release after consultations with the community leaders, saying that such comments by KCR were unwarranted. The Brahmin Forum has resolved to meet KCR in a delegation with representatives from all regions and express their displeasure as well as demand an apology.
