KCR repeats scurrilous remark against Andhra priests

Telangana Rashtra Samithi President K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday reiterated his earlier statement that the priests from the Andhra region were superficial and decorative and that they were available for hire for any political party to render favourable predictions.
"In contrast, the Telangana priests are committed to their work," KCR said. It was during the last day of the three-day Chandi Yagam on Saturday that the TRS chief had stated that "the Andhra Priests give priority to alankaram whereas the Telangana priests are dedicated to their duties."
Rao said it was also a fact that the Andhra priests had always given wrong predictions during Panchanga Sravanam on Ugadi festival and other occasions to appease the organisers, particularly the political parties. KCR claimed that 90 per cent of priests employed in the endowments department were from the Andhra region.
