The YSR Congress candidates have managed to get a common election symbol of 'ceiling fan', in the forthcoming by-elections in Kadapa district. This decision comes as a relief to YSR Congress candidates as the High Court had turned down their plea for allotment of a common symbol, stating that the Election Commission was the competent authority to entertain such a request. Ms. Vijayamma too preferred the symbol when the choice was offered to her in Pulivendula.
