CM Kiran Kumar Reddy keeping a track of Baba's health conditon
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the situation with Revenue Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy, Chief Secretary S.V. Prasad, Director-General of Police K. Aravinda Rao and other officials on the role of the government in case of any eventuality.
The government has so far played the role of a facilitator for providing treatment to the 84-year-old spiritual leader, as it cannot intervene in the affairs of Puttaparthi which is governed by a Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. Mr. Raghuveera Reddy told reporters that doctors were making their best efforts to improve Sai Baba's condition.
The DGP briefed the Chief Minister on the security arrangements at Puttaparthi, where about 1,000 police personnel have been deployed and additional forces kept on standby.
