Telugu Desam has appealed to Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Bhanwar Lal to curb large scale electoral malpractices by Congress and YSR Congress candidates in Kadapa and Pulivendula byelections.

In a petition, TDP leaders M. Narasimhulu, Kala Venkata Rao, P. Chandrasekhar and R. Seetarama Rao, alleged that the YSR Congress candidate from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy, is gifting cars and planning to distribute about two lakh ceiling fans, his election symbol.

TDP recalled that in their earlier petition, they pleaded for allowing posting of polling agents from outside the constituencies as a special case and for introduction of web-casting of polling process for online monitoring for ensuring free and fair polls.
