Praja Rajyam Party MLAs, Ms Vanga Geeta and Mr Kannababu met the Deputy Speaker, Mr Nadendla Manohar, in the city on Monday. The MLA's are reported to have urged the Deputy Speaker to take action against party MLAs, Ms Shobha Nagi Reddy and Mr Katasani Rami Reddy, for defiance of the party discipline.

It may be recalled that both the members have opposed the PRP's merger with Congress saying that they were not party to the decision which they said was unilateral. The two have been actively supporting the YSR Congress chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, and working for his party's success in the Kadapa byelections. The two have also written to the Election Commission of India that they opposed the merger of the party with the Congress party and hence no action could be taken against them for defying party discipline.
