Ban on exit polls in Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies
The Election Commission has served show-cause notices on Congress candidate D. L. Ravindra Reddy and three other Ministers, for allegedly violating model code, by addressing a congregation in a church in Kadapa on Good Friday seeking votes.
The other Ministers are Kanna Lakshminarayana, D. Manikya Vara Prasada Rao, and Syed Mohd Ahmadullah. A separate show-cause notice was served to Dr Ravindra Reddy for violating the model code by making personal remarks against his rival contestant Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy and thereby vitiating the election atmosphere.
