The Bharatiya Janata Party is now looking at Puttaparthi to gain a foothold for the purpose. The entire state unit of the BJP will be camping in Puttaparthi to seek the darshan of baba. This includes former party chief L K Advani and Narendar modi. A bevy of Karnataka BJP leaders led by chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and other ministers are either in Puttaparthi or are planning to make their presence in the town.
