Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday asserted that the Congress government lost the moral right, to continue in power for its failure to check multi-crore scams, curb price rise, maintain law and order and ensure the common man's welfare.

Accusing the Congress of promoting corruption in the guise of development and remaining unconcerned at the common man's plight, he appealed to the people to defeat it in the Kadapa and Pulivendula by-elections. Addressing people at ITI circle and Seven Roads junction in Kadapa city, Mr. Naidu described the Congress government in the State as being inefficient and that in the Centre as scam-tainted.
