The YSR Congress Party on Sunday lodged complaints against regional media with the Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal, for allegedly running packages to support TDP & Congress in the by-election to Kadapa Parliamentary constituency.

The news was intended to damage the reputation of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and also showed in poor light the contesting candidates of YSR Congress Party. They violated election code by trying to influence the voters. The YSR Congress Party urged the CEO to consider the news as paid articles and book the expenditure to the accounts of TDP & Congress candidates.
