Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday ridiculed YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's claims and said the Congress was in power at nobody's mercy but with the solid support of people. Addressing public meetings at Proddatur, Pulivendula and Kadapa in his day-long campaign in the Kadapa and Pulivendula by-elections, the Chief Minister lambasted at Jaganmohan Reddy.

He said that the YSR Congress had no philosophy, agenda or programme and had no right to keep YSR's portrait in the party flag. Former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who never lost an election in his 33-year political career, was patronised by the people of Pulivendula, because he was loyal to the Congress, Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy recalled.
