'Wasteland development scheme must be implemented':Dokka

Rural Development Minister Dokka Manikya Vara Prasada Rao said his initiatives for development of wastelands, belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, were appreciated by the Union Minister for Rural Development Vilasrao Deshmukh.
These are laid with an outlay of Rs 12,000, spanning five years and augmenting infrastructure like roads in SC habitations. The two schemes were often cited by Mr. Deshmukh as models worthy of replication in all States. It is therefore imperative that a concerted effort is made for successful implementation of the schemes, for which the Central Government has promised financial support in the due course.
