Non-locals should leave Kadapa by 5 pm today : Chief Electoral Officer

Making it clear that the non-locals, including ministers and MLAs should leave Kadapa and Pulivendula before 5 pm today, the Chief Electoral Officer, Mr Bhanwar Lal, has announced that there would be a ban on telecasting Exit polls, surveys and asking opinion of voters after 5 pm.
Speaking to the media at Secretariat in the city on Thursday, Mr Bhanwar Lal said that about 11,100 police personnel were deployed for the by-election. Talking further, Mr. Bhanwar Lal stated that the Election Commission was using 10,378 personnel as polling staff for the by-elections. Mr. Lal asked the political parties not to distribute polling slips after Friday evening as Election Commission has already issued the slips.
