MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi came down heavily on the city police saying they remained 'mute spectators' while his brother was attacked. The friday prayers passed of peacefully after the police arranged for tight security at Mecca Masjid. Asaduddin Owaisi brother of Akbaruddin Owaisi who was attacked at Barkas, held special prayers at the Bade Masjid.

Even as the condition of Akbaruddin Owaisi is stated to be improving, fellow devotees at the mosque prayed for his speedy recovery. After finishing prayers, Asaduddin visited and consoled the family members of Masis Kaseri who was also injured in the attack.
