Police opened four rounds of fire to quell clashing workers of the ruling Congress and YSR Congress in a village in Pulivendula Assembly segment. The intervention became necessary when supporters of the two parties resorted to stone throwing in Chakrayapet mandal.

The situation was soon brought under control by the police. A similar clash occurred in Kasinayana Mandal in Badvel constituency. Two persons were hurt in a group clash in Y. Kodur village in Yerraguntla mandal in Kamalapuram segment. These were isolated incidents of violence in an otherwise peaceful election.
