AICC general secretary M. Veerappa Moily on Thursday hosted dinner for the Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh in an attempt to bring to an end the growing differences among them over the statehood issue. The controversial report by Andhra Ministers terming the demand for separate Telangana as anti-national drew widespread flak. The dinner meeting evoked intense curiosity as it was for the first time that the State Congress MPs were meeting at a place during the ongoing monsoon session of the Parliament. A Congress MP from Telangana said all the 11 MPs from their region went as a group and took their seats separately. Barring exchanging greetings with other MPs, not much transpired there.
