Replica of Tirupati temple to come up in Kurukshetra

Chandigarh: A replica of the famous hill shrine of Lord Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh will come up in Kurukshetra in Haryana in three years. Haryana government today accorded approval to 5.52 acres of land to be given free of cost to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) of Andhra Pradesh for construction of Lord Venkteswara (Balaji) temple in Kurukshetra.
The land will be given on 99 years of lease in the east-south corner of Brahmsarover and a decision for this was taken at a meeting of Haryana Cabinet presided by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here. TTD will plan and take up the construction which would commence within next three to four months and the project would be completed in three years.
