Unified Authority for land allotments mooted
In a bid to make the new land allotment policy transparent and objective, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that the draft policy to be ready by the month-end, would be placed before an all-party meeting to be held in June first week.
Mr. Reddy, held a detailed review meeting on the draft policy under preparation by the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration with inputs from various departments on Wednesday. He said that the comprehensive new land policy would be finalised after consulting all the stakeholders, industrialists, and public to arrive at a consensus. The Chief Minister favoured making all kinds of land allotments through a Unified Authority to work like a single window.
