Political Party leaders congratulate speaker
Nadendla Manohar won hands down, as the Speaker of the State Assembly. All the Legislative Party Leaders congratulated the New Speaker. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy congratulated the appointment of Manohar Reddy as Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
CM recalled the childhood days spent with Manohar Reddy and later lauded his political efforts. He expressed confidence in Manohar Reddy to uphold the prestige of the house. TDP President Chandrababu Naidu while congratulating Manohar Reddy's victory said that their decision to field a contestant for Speaker position is not because TDP is against him personally, but said on the record that it is because of the trust that is lost in the Government.
Praja Rajyam Party President Chiranjeevi expressed happiness for such a young leader to be elected Speaker of the Assembly.
