The southwest monsoon has further advanced into Saurastra and some parts of Andhra Pradesh up to Rentachintala, Kalingapatnam, and coastal Orissa up to Puri and most parts of Bay of Bengal, according to a bulletin issued by the Cyclone Warning Centre.

Conditions are favourable for further advancement of southwest monsoon into Gujarat, Maharastra, AP and Orissa, remaining parts of Bay of Bengal during the next two to three days. A trough on sea level chart now runs from Orissa to south coastal Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers may occur at many places over north coastal AP and at a few places over south coastal AP during the next 24 hours.
