Huge turnout at Basara today
The renowned pilgrim centre in state, Basara has witnessed a huge turnout today. In order to perform a special ritual of 'Akshara-Abyaasam' at the holy shrine, thousand of devotees thronged, to offer prayers to godess Saraswathi. The pilgrims started their worship services with a holy bath in river Godavari, from the early hours. The devotees had a tough time with the availability of tickets in a single counter and unavailability of temple staff.
