The All India Trade Union Congress members staged a protest against hike in the prices on petrol and essential commidities. Leading trade unions have extended their support and partcipated in dharna-protest, near Indira Park.

The agitators alleged that the unprecedented rise in petrol price has affected lives of common man adversely. He flayed the central governments proposal of further hiking the price of LPG and diesel. The agenda of the protest included issues like petrol price hike and measures to curb it, and social justice for labourers and common people in the country.
