Petrol price hike was unavoidable : Panabaka

Union Minister of State for Textiles, Panabaka Lakshmi, observed that the Centre was constrained to hike the prices of diesel, kerosene and cooking gas under unavoidable circumstances. Speaking to mediapersons, Ms Lakshmi defended the Union government's action saying that it had not hiked the petroleum prices for imposing burden on the common man nor for pleasure.
The Union minister of State arrived in the city to participate in the second triennial general body meeting of the State unit of All India Scheduled Castes-Scheduled Tribes Bank Employees' Federation held at the Potti Sree Ramulu Telugu University Auditorium, in Nampally. Speaking as the chief guest, the Union minister assured the employees that she would always strive to help solve their problems.
