Chiru celebrates quiet birthday

As Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi turned 56 on Sunday, more has been talked about his re-entry into tinsel town, than his political plans, even as the party is gearing up for its plenary in Visakhapatnam from August 25 and 26. Contrary to expectations that he would be available at the party office here to receive visitors and party functionaries and review the arrangements for the Praja Rajyam's first plenary, he was not present.
Enquiries reveal that he preferred to spend his day away from the public eye and had taken off with family to an undisclosed location after visiting his mother's home in Jubilee Hills. Allu Arvind, PRP leader and Mr. Chiranjeevi's brother-in-law, came to the party office and, watched by leaders C. Ramachandraiah and Basavaraju Srinivas, cut a cake to mark the actor's birthday. It looked as if every leader was busy making preparations for the plenary.
