Congress leaders from Telangana region had rejected the proposal to set up a second States Re-organization Commission, SRC and said that they would settle for nothing less than a separate Telangana state. Speaking to the newsmen, senior leader Keshav Rao, however, said they were ready to discuss the two other options being reportedly considered by the central government.

He was reacting to reports that centre was considering three options, carving out Telangana state within a stipulated timeframe, keeping open the issue of Hyderabad while dividing the state, and setting up a second SRC.
