Twin bomb blasts that took place in high traffic areas on August 25 2007, shook the city with shock. It has been three years when blasts occured at Gokul Chat and Lumbini park creating panic and terror amongst not just locals but the country as well. More than 42 people were dead and more than 60 people were severely injured. The city police failed to catch hold of the terrorist behind the planned attack. However the Maharashtra police arrested 4 people related to these blasts with three other including the main accused Riyaz and Iqbal bathkal still missing. Until now, the state government has not issued enough amount of ex-gratia to the severly injured or either to the families who lost their loved ones in these balst.
