The maiden tour of the Justice Srikrishna Committee to Medak district on Wednesday was marked by unruly scenes when leaders and workers of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and Congress almost came to blows at Zilla Parishad hall in district headquarters town of Sangareddy.

As the Committee chairman Justice B. N. Srikrishna and other members entered the hall, TRS workers raised Jai Telangana' slogans. But when Congress MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy climbed the dais to present a memorandum, some TRS workers remarked tauntingly that a Telangana traitor' was given the first opportunity. This led to slogan shouting and jostling between Congress and the TRS workers.

Talking to media later, Justice Srikrishna and member secretary V.K. Duggal said that the committee would take a decision on the issue that would be the best, and protect the interests of the majority people as well as State.
