No report on T, says Governor

The Governor, Mr E.S.L. Narasimhan, has expressed anger over a news report carried by a vernacular daily on Friday which said that during his meetings with the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, the UPA Chairperson, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, and the home minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, in New Delhi on Thursday, the Governor had submitted a report suggesting that the Hyderabad Metropolitan area should become a Union Territory in the event of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to this correspondent from New Delhi, Mr Narasimhan said, The news report carried by a Telugu daily today is 200 per cent false and unadulterated rubbish. It is a totally wrong and malicious report. I never submitted any report on such proposals. But tension prevailed in Osamania University.
