J&K autonomy not acceptable : Venkaiah
Former BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu objected to the ongoing debate over granting autonomy to Kashmir and questioned how the UPA Government could think of giving it autonomous status when it was still part of India. Autonomy to Kashmir was not acceptable to the BJP or any other party which wanted it to be an integral part of the country. Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Mr. Naidu sought to know how Prime Minister Manmohan Singh could promise to even look into the demand for autonomy when there were serious differences within the ruling coalition. A debate on the issue was therefore undesirable.
