About 20,000 personnel drawn from the state police, CRPF and Rapid Action Force will guard the city during the Vinayaka Chavithi festivities, from Sept. 10 to 22. With three important festival like Vinayaka Chavithi, coming up in the next few weeks, the government has asked all departments to collaborate in making them secure and peaceful. After a reviewing the overall situation Hyderabad police commissioner A K Khan said effective steps would be taken up for the festivals. For the Ganesh immersion day, Sept. 22, the rules invoked last year would hold good again. Commissioner Khan reviewed the situation of the state with all the higher officials in the meeting.
