MPs urge PM to lift cases against T-students
Eleven Congress Members of Parliament from Telangana region on Tuesday requested Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to withdraw police cases filed against pro-Telangana students. The MPs also requested the Prime Minister to declared the Pranahita-Chevella project as a National Project. The MPs reminded the Prime Minister that repeated assurances have been given by the government that these cases would be lifted, but nothing has been done so far. Mr. Singh assured the MPs that he would talk to Chief Minister K Rosaiah on the issue.
