T-JACs press govt to postpone APPSC G1 exams

The Osmania University Joint Action Committee and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on Wednesday demanded that the state government direct the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission to postpone the Group I examinations scheduled to be held on September 5, till the government decides on the demand of 40 per cent quota in recruitments for Telangana candidates. Earlier, a meeting was called at the Osmania University to chalk out future course of action on getting the demand of 40 per cent quota for candidates from Telangana who have cleared the Group-1 preliminary exams, fulfilled. The JAC members revealed that they would hold a candlelight vigil at all Telangana educational institutions tomorrow.
