Reddy brothers: We're as pure as Gold

Bangalore: The Reddy brothers, who are at the heart of Karnataka's political crisis, say that allegations of their involvement in illegal mining in Bellary are inaccurate. The Opposition in the state has been demanding that the BJP government order a CBI inquiry against illegal mining - something Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has ruled out. The state's governor, HR Bhardwaj, has also suggested that Janardhan and Karunakara Reddy, both ministers in the BJP government, should resign.
Speaking to a leading national news channel, Janardhan says there's no need for that, because the brothers "are pure gold."
