6 acres of agricultural land drowned in Khammam

Godavari waters rushed through Badrachalam sending tension waves across 13 mandals in the nearby villages. Flood water rushed all through the region due to leakage in storage devices. Agencies in the area have sent across two warning signals to the locals to stay on high alert. This is the second time Badhrachalam has faced threat from Godavari in a weeks time. Approximately 6 acres of agricultural land was drowned due to heavy inflow of rain waters. More than 60 villages in the region have lost commuting links due to heavy rains. Concerned officials have made elaborate arrangements to evacuate people from low lying areas.
