Congress Kadapa MP Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday put up a spirited defence of the YSR regime. Mr. Jagan said,Politics had degenerated to low levels that unfounded allegations are being levelled against YSR even 12 months after death, to deliberately mislead people. Those spreading canards out of jealousy will be swept away in the wave of people's support, Mr. Jagan asserted in an oblique reference to Mr Naidu's remarks on Tuesday.

Continuing his tour for the sixth day, he said while addressing meetings in K. K. Mitla, Markapur and Dornala mandals.He consoled the bereaved family members of YSR admirer K. Tirupati Reddy in Chinarikata who had died of heart attack after the party secured only a thin majority in the 2009 Assembly elections.
