Komaram Puli' film title revised Under pressure from Telangana activists, producers of the Telugu film Komaram Puli', starring Pavan Kalyan, announced that they would retract the word Komaram' from the title. Even as some 600 prints of the film hit 1,200 screens on Friday, producer Singanamala Ramesh and executive producer C. Kalyan announced their decision at a press conference after Telangana leaders objected to the original title.

Police across the State deployed heavy force around theatres and in the State Capital at RTC Crossroads and other places. JAC activists staged protests in front of theatres screening the film in Telangana districts. They objected to the title of the movie on the grand that the name of the tribal warrior of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, could not be used for commercial purpose.
