Upset over the Opposition trying to defame his father and former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Congress Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday asserted that the YSR regime is a model for emulation by other Chief Ministers in the country. Close on the heels of the TDP demanding a probe into alleged ill-gotten wealth of the former Chief Minister, Jagan lamented that politics has degenerated to such low levels that the Opposition is resorting to mud slinging even against a person who is no longer there to defend himself. The MP was addressing a series of road-side meetings on the eighth day of his Odarpu Yatra in the erstwhile Naxalite stronghold in Yerragondapalem Assembly constituency amid tight security.
