The famous Tapeshwaram Laddu was offered to the Khairatabad Ganesh Idol in the city. The Laddu weighing 500kgs was offered to the Lord Ganesh Idol. The Laddu was made is East Godavari districts, Tapeshwaram by Suruchi foods in a time span of 21 days. Mallibabu and his assistants made the Laddu that has been designed and carved to match the idol.

The Laddu was sent in a special vehical to the city. The Laddu was placed on the Lord Ganesh's Idol with the help of a crane, on the eve of Ganesh Chavithi. Devotees are thronging to the Pandal to catch a view of the Ganesh Idol and the big Laddu, placed on his hand.
