The three-day session of CPI Sate council started here on Sunday with the formal inaugural speech of party national deputy secretary general Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy. The meet is likely to discuss in depth the current political situation in the State, shortage of fertilizers, problems relating to land acquisition and controversies surrounding the land allotment. The party sources said the current political turmoil and the role of the CPI in State politics is likely to dominate the deliberations. The council usually meets once in four months to review the situation and vet the party political policy.
