In a bid to highlight the plight of farmers hit by fertilizer shortage, Telugu Desam president Chandrababu Naidu will undertake a tour of Mahabubnagar district and lead a dharna in front of the Collector's office today. Mr. Naidu will address farmers' meetings at Kosigi, Narayanapeta before reaching the venue for dharna. Addressing a press conference on Sunday, he went hammer and tongs against the State government stating that it had no right to govern for failing to provide fertilizer to farmers. The Centre too failed miserably in this regard and hiked the prices of fertilizer instead of ensuring their availability. While the farmers were waiting eagerly for fertilizer all over the State, they were being sold in black-market and the scarcity also led a farmer to commit suicide in Mahabubnagar.
