Reiterating that his party would always support farmers' issues, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday, criticized the state government for its failure to supply adequate fertilizers to farmers. Addressing a gathering at Kosgi in Mahabubnagar, Naidu charged the government with increasing fertilizer prices in the market by creating artificial scarcity and by selling them in the black market.

He said the government has failed in supplying fertilisers to farmers even though the state had received a good monsoon this year. The TDP will give a fitting reply to the government if officials continue to fail to solve the farmers' problems, he said. Naidu charged, and vowed that his party would continue its fight for farmers and backward classes until the government addresses their problems.
