The Communist Party of India (Marxist) state secretary, Mr B.V. Raghavulu, on Thursday called for a joint struggle by the CPM and CPI for effective results in finding solutions to peoples problems.Addressing a press conference , Mr Raghavulu said that top priority should be given to joint action by the two parties before thinking of a merger.

Both of us are fighting for justice to oppressed sections in society. It is high time we worked together, he said.Mr Raghavulu demanded that the state government provide special training to the youth of Mannavaram village in industrial training institutes as the Rs 6,000 crore NTPC-BHEL project was coming up in the next five years.
