Persons sending provocative messages identified : Khan

The city police on Wednesday identified 15 persons for allegedly sending provocative text messages through mobile phones inciting communal violence in the backdrop of verdict on Babri Masjid-Ramjanmabhoomi issue. City Police Commissioner A.K. Khan told reporters that investigators were collecting evidences against identified persons who belong to two communities.
The messages were sent to the Cyber Crime police station for analysis, he said reminding that the Centre had already banned circulation of bulk text and multi-media messages for 72 hours from Wednesday afternoon.The instructions were passed on to all mobile phone service providers.He appealed to the public to observe restraint in the backdrop of the Allahabad court verdict.
People have option of moving Supreme Court over Allahabad court verdict, and hence maintain peace, he said.
