For the second day on Wednesday, the city experienced a cloudburst.However, Ganesh revellers did not allow the rain to play spoilsport. Undeterred by the downpour they maintained their onward journey.The heavy shower seemed to only shore up the spirits of the youth who broke into a jig and raised full- throated Ganapati bappa moriya' slogans.Sanathnagar, Kukatpally, Miyapur experienced heavy rain.

But the Ganesh procession, continued. Residents headed in the pouring rain towards the Hussainsagar while some chose to immerse the idols in the nearby Pragatinagar Cheruvu.At Charminar and beyond, it rained heavily around 5 p.m. Huge idols kept in lorries were immediately covered by tarpaulin and plastic covers. Around the same time, Hussainsagar too witnessed good showers.
